How We Bill · Veles Labs
Every job quoted on its own scope.
One fixed number for the whole build — agreed before work starts, and it doesn’t move.

What we build
01 — The Principle
So the number comes after the conversation, not before it — one fixed price for the whole build, in writing, before work starts.
02 — Where Projects Land
Site and platform work shares enough shape to publish a range. Everything else is quoted from zero.
01
A complete custom site, integrated with the systems you already run.
02
A site with a backend: database, accounts, an admin your team operates.
03
Software, not a website: internal tools, custom workflows, systems joined.
04
Platforms carrying live operations, built to hold under load.

03 — Quoted From Zero
These vary too widely between engagements to print a number we’d have to walk back — so they’re scoped individually, every time.
From one recurring process to an entire business function.
From a vertical slice to a shipped title.
Replacing, joining, or carrying obligations that can’t go down.
From a single mark to a system across every surface.
04 — Hosting & Care
The one thing we can print a price for. Every plan runs on private infrastructure with 99.9% uptime — the same stack we deploy our own work on.
01
$80/month
Hosting, and only hosting.
Private server, sized to the site
SSL, firewall, 99.9% uptime ensured
Weekly backups, off-server
Managed DNS + global CDN
Changes by work order — $110/hr, quoted first
02
$150/month
Hosting, plus the upkeep.
Everything in Hosted
Monthly updates & security patches
Daily backups, 30-day retention
Hardened edge + web application firewall
Up to 1 hour of changes each month
03
$325/month
The site becomes our problem, not yours.
Everything in Hosted & Kept
Up to 3 hours of changes each month
Priority response — typically within 1–2 hours
Quarterly performance & security review
Further work at $95/hr, quoted first
Month to month — cancel with 30 days’ notice; the site, the data and the domain leave with you.
Traffic overages pass through at cost. Outgrow the server and the next tier is quoted before anything changes.
A site we didn’t build: one-time setup from $250, quoted with the plan.

05 — Getting To A Number
01
Thirty minutes, free, no pitch. If we’re not the right team, we say so here.
02
One number, scope written beside it, timeline committed — before any code exists.
The price is fixed here
03
Something you can click every week, not a status report.
04
Source, docs, design files, deployment access — all of it, day one.
Payment Schedule
Projects from $5,000 — three stages
40%
Puts the job in the schedule; work starts.
40%
When you can use the build yourself in a review environment.
20%
Source, docs, access transferred.
Under $5,000 — two stages
50%
Half up front; smaller jobs don’t need a midpoint invoice.
50%
Balance on delivery, everything transferred.
06 — Questions, Answered
Because site and platform work repeats enough that a range tells you something true, and the other disciplines don't. An automation brief and a game brief can each swing by an order of magnitude on details that only surface in conversation. Publishing a figure we'd immediately have to qualify would be a guess dressed up as a price — you'd plan around it, and one of us would end up disappointed.
If we estimated wrong, that's ours to absorb — the price is fixed. If you add scope, we quote the addition separately and you approve it before work starts.
Usually the better plan. Phase one stands on its own in production; phase two gets quoted when you've seen it run.
The first look is free — we'll tell you honestly whether to fix it, rebuild it, or leave it alone. If you want the full audit in writing, that runs $200–$500 depending on size, credited in full toward the build if we proceed.
Anything that alters the site — a new page, a feature, a design tweak, content swapped in by us. Hosting covers the server, the certificate, the backups and the uptime. Changes are quoted as work orders, or drawn from your plan's monthly hours if you're on Kept or Handled.
Usually, yes. We'll look it over first — free — then a one-time setup from $250 moves it onto our stack, and any tier applies from there.
